The River Hill Hawks lost against the Atholton Raiders back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. River Hill took a 33-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of Atholton. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for River Hill in their matchups with Atholton: they've now lost four in a row.
Cameron Lee had an outrageously good game for Atholton as he rushed for 151 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. Lee is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tyler Bell, who rushed for 55 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
River Hill's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 5-4. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 11.3 points per game. As for Atholton, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.
River Hill will look to defend their home field on Friday against Oakland Mills at 7:00 p.m. Oakland Mills will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Atholton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
