The Midfield Patriots scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They came out on top against Childersburg by a score of 69-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for Jazmin Johnson, who scored 29 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Kamiya Webb was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Midfield is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-9 record this season. As for Childersburg, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6.
Midfield will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against McAdory at 1:30 p.m. on January 13th. As for Childersburg, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Comer at 6:00 p.m. on January 15th. Comer will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 384th, while Childersburg is ranked 134th).
