King's Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Everett Hollis, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and two steals, and Evan Hellwig who scored nine points along with five assists and two steals. Hollis has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Travis Haft, who scored six points along with two steals.
East Texas Homeschool Sports posted their closest victory yet this season on Friday. They had just enough and edged Marshall Christian Academy out 41-39.
East Texas Homeschool Sports got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Issac Hill out in front who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. Ethan Gallant was another key contributor, scoring six points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
King's Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 15 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for East Texas Homeschool Sports, they pushed their record up to 14-5 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Tuesday's match is shaping up to be a scrappy matchup: King's Academy have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 27.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like East Texas Homeschool Sports struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 37.4 rebounds per game. Given King's Academy's sizeable advantage in that area, East Texas Homeschool Sports will need to find a way to close that gap.
