Juliette Smith made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed two innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five). She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and three RBI.

In other batting news, Gianna Candelora was a standout: she went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, five runs, and six RBI. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ena Ramsey, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.
Flintridge Sacred Heart was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .625. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .321 or higher in 11 consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Bishop Alemany didn't have quite enough to beat San Marcos on Friday and fell 6-5.
Hailey-Ann Enright made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Charlotte Riggen was another key player, earning one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.
Flintridge Sacred Heart's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bishop Alemany, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-10 record this season.
Flintridge Sacred Heart couldn't quite get it done against Bishop Alemany in their previous meeting back in March as they fell 5-1. Can the Tologs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
