MAKAYLA DUKES was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 steals. DUKES is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of SANIYA TAYLOR, who scored nine points.
Kingstree's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Lamar, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kingstree will take on Marion at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Marion is ranked 149th, while Kingstree is ranked 124th). Lamar won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hannah-Pamplico at 6:30 p.m. on January 11th. Hannah-Pamplico is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
