On Friday,  everything came up roses for Montezuma-Cortez on the road  against Varsity Opponent as the  squad secured a  75-25 victory. With that  win, Montezuma-Cortez brought their scoring average up to 58.5  points per game.
 Among those leading the charge was   Savannah Haselroth, who  scored 16 points along with 6  rebounds and 4  steals.  Taylor Whited was another key contributor,  scoring 14 points along with 6  steals.
 The  win  got Montezuma-Cortez back to even at 1-1. As for Varsity Opponent, they are  on a seven-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 19-93.
 Montezuma-Cortez's road trip will continue as they head out to face Navajo Prep at 11:30  a.m.  on December 2nd. As for Varsity Opponent, they will face off against Bandera at 12:00  p.m.  on Friday. Bandera is coming into the  game hot, having won their last four games.
