The Lennox Academy Panthers are taking a road trip to  challenge the Hawthorne Cougars  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Lennox Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.5  runs per game  this season.
Last Thursday, Lennox Academy made easy work of Compton Early College  and carried off  a  12-5 victory. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Rising Phoenix recently, as the game was their third consecutive  win against them.

 Valeria Lopez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing five innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   five  hits. Lopez was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs and  stealing three bases while going 4-for-4. Those  four  hits gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Stacey Torres, who  went 3-for-4 with three  doubles, one  run,  and one  RBI. Those  three  doubles gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Michel Estrada, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 Lennox Academy was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .400. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  batting average total in three consecutive  matches.
 Meanwhile, Hawthorne was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight  defeat. They lost  12-2 to Wiseburn- Da Vinci.
 Hawthorne's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Lennox Academy, their record is now 9-5.
 Lennox Academy suffered a grim  17-9 defeat to Hawthorne  in their previous matchup  back in March. Can the Panthers avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
