Ensworth (Nashville, Tenn.) didn't let up as Saturday's game came to a close, scoring 20 in the fourth quarter to seal a 34-7 victory over
Battle Ground Academy (Franklin, Tenn.).
The Wildcats pulled ahead on a
Keenan Bass touchdown run, and subsequently went into halftime leading 7-0. The Tigers scored the winning points with a
Cornelius Elder touchdown run that came in the third quarter.
The loss snapped Battle Ground Academy's 4-game winning streak.
Bass played well for BGA. The senior running back ran for one touchdown.
TEAM was the top performer for Ensworth. He ran for three touchdowns and kicked four extra points.
The Franklin school's lone touchdown came on a 17-yard run by Bass in the second quarter.
A 33-7 Ensworth victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
Battle Ground Academy (4-1) goes up against McCallie in a Division II AA - East/Middle game matchup next week, while Ensworth (5-0) locks horns with Pope John Paul II also in a Division II AA - East/Middle game.
