The Valiant Cross Academy Warriors will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Eastwood Christian Warriors at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Valiant Cross Academy has four straight wins, Eastwood Christian has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Even though Lee-Scott Academy scored an imposing 59 points on Friday, Valiant Cross Academy still came out on top. Valiant Cross Academy took their contest against Lee-Scott Academy 72-59.
Valiant Cross Academy found their leader in underclassman Deshawn Hall, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 14 rebounds. Hall is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was John Cosby, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Eastwood Christian suffered their biggest defeat yet this season two weeks ago. They were outmatched by Evangel Christian Academy on the road and fell 55-20.
Valiant Cross Academy's victory bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Eastwood Christian, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-9.
