The Randolph Cardinals's found some homefield redemption this week after a tough overtime loss to the Salamanca Warriors on Tuesday. Randolph took down Frewsburg 59-41. Given Randolph's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 137th, while Frewsburg is ranked 390th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Frewsburg still got an impressive performance from Kael Collver, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds. Collver has been hot recently, having posted three or more blocks the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Weaver, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Randolph pushed their record up to 10-2 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 27.1 points. As for Frewsburg, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.
Coincidentally, Randolph and Frewsburg will both be playing Gowanda the next time they take the court. Frewsburg will host Gowanda at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Randolph will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
