Vasquez won against California Military Institute  last Friday with 41  points and they decided to stick to that  point total again  on Friday. The Vasquez Mustangs blew past the Desert Chapel Eagles, posting  a  41-6 win on the road. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by 25  points or more this season.
  Nathan Sanchez was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 129 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. Those 129  rushing yards gave  him a new career-high.  Zach Chambers was another key player, rushing for 63 yards and a touchdown.
 He was just one part of a punishing run game: Vasquez was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 474  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 221  rushing yards in four consecutive  games.
 On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Vasquez's defense and their seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by  Leonardo Rivas and  Zack Van Ornum, who racked up  five sacks between them.
 Desert Chapel's loss  came despite strong showings from  Jayvon Garcia and  Samuel Mourhess.  Garcia picked up 126 receiving yards and a touchdown, while  Mourhess threw for 199 yards and a touchdown. Garcia is  crushing it when it comes to  receiving yards: he's   posted at least 116 every time he's  taken the field this season.
 Vasquez now  has a winning record of 4-3. As for Desert Chapel, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the  defeat, which was their fifth straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Vasquez wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  contest,  a  21-14  loss against Desert Christian Academy on the 18th. Desert Chapel has also  already played their next matchup,  a  52-27  defeat against Hamilton on the 17th.
