Baseball Recap: Platte Valley Wins Going Away Against Louisville

Platte Valley never let their opponents score on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Louisville Lions. That's two games straight that Platte Valley has won by exactly 12 runs.

Platte Valley got a massive performance out of Cael Smith, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Hollst, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.

Platte Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Louisville only posted an OBP of .235.

The win made it two in a row for Platte Valley and bumps their season record up to 4-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Louisville, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-10.
