Leading South Bend St. Joseph to victory were Kayla Woods and Kenadie Schrock. Woods scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and four steals, while Schrock scored 23 points along with six steals and five rebounds. The match was Schrock's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Maggie Jenkins was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Despite the loss, Rushville still got an impressive performance from Leonie Boyer, who scored 25 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Those 25 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Trisha Morgan, who scored eight points along with four steals.
South Bend St. Joseph has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season. As for Rushville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.
South Bend St. Joseph and Merrillville will round out the year against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Friday at. Merrillville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than South Bend St. Joseph in Indiana (Merrillville is ranked 108th, while South Bend St. Joseph is ranked 232nd). As for Rushville, they will face off against NorthWood at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. NorthWood is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
