Spanish River scored the most points they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against the Sarasota Sailors, falling 58-38. The Sharks' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Spanish River's loss came despite strong showings from Briella DaSilva and Samantha Solodkin. DaSilva went 6 for 15 on her way to 13 points, while Solodkin posted nine points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Feinstein, who had eight points.

Paisley Binswanger had an outrageously good game for Sarasota as she shot 4-for-7 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 34 points and 15 boards. The dominant performance gave Binswanger a new career-high in points. Haley LaGassee was another key player, putting up seven points.

Spanish River's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Sarasota, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Spanish River wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 74-23 win against Forest Hill on the 3rd. As for Sarasota, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 78-53 loss against Booker on the 3rd.
