Regina's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 43-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Marian. While losing is never fun, Regina can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 289th, while Marian is ranked 122nd).
Mckenzie Swanson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Marian, almost dropping a triple-double on 14 points, 12 rebounds, and nine blocks. Another player making a difference was Molly McLeod, who scored 12 points.
Regina's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Marian, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.
Regina will be playing at home against Divine Child at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Divine Child is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Marian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Mercy at 3:00 p.m. on January 20th.
