The Fallbrook Warriors''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 31-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rancho Bernardo.
Despite the loss, Fallbrook still got an impressive performance from Chris Bausch, who rushed for 131 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. Bausch's longest rush was for an incredible 76 yards. Evan Thomas was another key contributor, throwing for 141 yards and two touchdowns.
Terrick Fisher continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Rancho Bernardo, rushing for 162 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries.
Rancho Bernardo's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Dyllan Irmen and his two sacks.
Fallbrook has fallen quite a ways from their 9-4 record last season and are now at 3-5. As for Rancho Bernardo, their victory on Friday bumped their record up to 4-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fallbrook will take on Mt. Carmel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Mt. Carmel is ranked 314th, while Fallbrook is ranked 338th). As for Rancho Bernardo, they will be playing at home against San Marcos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. San Marcos will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
