Poston Butte took a 25-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of Eastmark. Poston Butte was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Eastmark apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Autumn Thomas and Julia Harris certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Thomas scored five points along with 13 rebounds and four steals, while Harris scored three points along with six steals and five rebounds. Harris has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played.
It was another big night for Anna LaFountain, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds for Eastmark. That's the first time this season that LaFountain pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Vega, who scored six points.
Poston Butte's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Eastmark, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 18-4.
