Ellington posted their biggest win yet this season on Friday. They blew past Stafford, posting a 51-14 victory at home. Given Ellington's advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while Stafford is ranked 142nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Canton was just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 36-35 to Bolton. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Canton in their matchups with Bolton: they've now lost three in a row.
Ellington's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Canton, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Ellington didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Canton in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 47-43 victory.
