Pascagoula is 8-2 against Bay since November of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Pascagoula Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Bay Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Pascagoula will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
Even though Meridian scored an imposing 61 points last Saturday, Pascagoula still came out on top. Pascagoula walked away with a 73-61 win over Meridian. Given Pascagoula's advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Meridian is ranked 28th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Bay came up short against St. Patrick on Friday and fell 54-42.
Pascagoula pushed their record up to 7-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Bay, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.
Pascagoula strolled past Bay when the teams last played back in November of 2022 by a score of 51-34. Does Pascagoula have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bay turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
