The Cass Colonels will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Hiram Hornets at 7:30 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Friday, Cass was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 45-44 to Cartersville. Cass has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Cass' loss came about despite a quality game from Jakai Baldwin, who scored 18 points along with four steals. Jayden Foster was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Hiram unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They were the victim of a rough 70-48 defeat at the hands of Pace Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hiram has scored all season.
Cass' loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Hiram, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.
Cass was taken down by Hiram 88-45 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Can Cass avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
