Pineville's and Rapides's game on Thursday was close at halftime, but Pineville turned on the heat in the second half with two goals. The Pineville Rebels blew past the Rapides Mustangs 3-0. The result was nothing new for the Rebels, who have now won nine matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Cooper Smith and Carmine Dennis scored all three of Pineville's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 23 goals.

The victory was the third in a row for Pineville, bringing their record for this year to 12-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those three contests. As for Rapides, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Pineville and Leesville will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Pineville's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Leesville's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Rapides, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Calvary Baptist Academy at 7:45 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
