Owatonna is 8-2 against the Winhawks since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Owatonna Huskies will head out on the road to take on the Winona Winhawks at 7:30 p.m. Owatonna will be strutting in after a win while the Winhawks will be coming in after a loss.
Last Friday, Owatonna humbled the Packers with a 76-42 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Owatonna.
Owatonna's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maryn Pool, who scored 23 points. Pool continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Morgan Fisher, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Winona came up short against the Rockets on Tuesday and fell 51-41. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Winona has scored all season.
Owatonna now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Winona, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.
Owatonna came up short against the Winhawks in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 61-52. Can Owatonna avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
