After both having extra time off, the Vanguard College Prep Vikings and the Round Rock Christian Academy Crusaders will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 3:00 p.m. on December 28th. Vanguard College Prep is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
Last Friday, Vanguard College Prep strolled past Covenant Christian with points to spare, taking the game 50-33. Given Vanguard College Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 425th, while Covenant Christian is ranked 1063rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Round Rock Christian Academy, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 52-38 loss to Lexington on Saturday.
Despite the defeat, Round Rock Christian Academy got a solid performance out of Noah Headley, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Vanguard College Prep's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Round Rock Christian Academy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.
