After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Apex, Panther Creek was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 12-7 win over the Green Hope Falcons. Jessica Burk was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 18 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off five hits. Those 18 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Cassidy Robinson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ava Burt, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Panther Creek's record now sits at 6-8. As for Green Hope, they dropped their record down to 8-12 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
