Having just played yesterday, the Futures Knights will get right back to it and host the Trinity Christian Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Futures knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Trinity Christian likes a good challenge.
Futures is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Sacramento Waldorf just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 67-58 to the Waves.

Despite the defeat, Futures saw an underclassman step up: freshman Chris Collins dropped a double-double on 27 points and 13 rebounds. Collins has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Elijah Lewis was another key player, going 5 of 12 on his way to 14 points.
Even though they lost, Futures smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 16 consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Trinity Christian waltzed into their match on Monday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They really took it to the Saints for the full four quarters, racking up a 94-21 victory. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 27 points or more this season.
Futures better keep an eye on Christofer Thomas. He was instrumental in Trinity Christian's win, putting up 20 points. With that strong performance, Thomas is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Samuel Muntean, who posted 18 points.
Trinity Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 35.9 points. As for Futures, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-8.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Futures and Trinity Christian are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Futures hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 59.2 points per game. However, it's not like Trinity Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 63.3 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Futures and Trinity Christian were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in November of 2022, but Futures came up empty-handed after a 60-59 defeat. Can Futures avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
