After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Desert Christian, the Ray Bearcats were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They came out on top against Duncan by a score of 44-31. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Ray also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
It was another big night for Joseph Morales, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Mark Chester, who scored nine points.
Ray is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for Duncan, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ray will take on The Gregory School at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Gregory School will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. As for Duncan, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Baboquivari at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. Baboquivari presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Duncan in Arizona (Baboquivari is ranked 154th, while Duncan is ranked 316th).
