Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Buffalo). They were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over Sauk Rapids-Rice on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bison.
WILL MIRIOVSKY made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. MIRIOVSKY was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on TYSON MOORE, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. NOLAN HANSON was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
Buffalo hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sauk Rapids-Rice struck out seven times.
Coon Rapids picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-7. As for Buffalo, their record now sits at 5-1.
Coon Rapids might still be hurting after the 11-0 loss they got from Buffalo when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Cardinals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
