Baseball Recap: Valley Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Valley entered their tilt with Bernalillo on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 10-6. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Vikings also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Zach Toledo made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Toledo was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Anthony Chavez was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Elias Saiz was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Valley's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-10. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bernalillo, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-11.
