It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Brook Hill Guard ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Dallas Christian and snuck past 49-46. The victory was nothing new for Brook Hill as they're now sitting on seven straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brook Hill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Savannah Onley, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Lila Morris, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds.
Several Chargers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Megan Greer, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and two steals. Greer has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Chanel Jones was another key contributor, scoring five points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Brook Hill has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 24-8 record this season. As for Dallas Christian, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7.
Brook Hill will take on Covenant at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brook Hill is facing Covenant at the right time seeing as Covenant is stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for Dallas Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Vanguard College Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Dallas Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Saturday.
