The Cloverleaf Colts took care of business in their home opener on Wednesday (and then some). They blew past Barberton 69-44. This was payback for Cloverleaf, who suffered a 43-42 loss the last time these two teams met.
Cloverleaf's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mackenzie Seiwerth led the charge by going 6 for 7 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points and 3 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Evie Barth, who scored 20 points along with 5 assists.
Cloverleaf's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Barberton, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Cloverleaf will be playing at home against North Olmsted at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. As for Barberton, they will head out on the road to face off against Tallmadge at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
