Thomas A. Edison hasn't had much luck against Mariana Bracetti Academy recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The two teams, after both having extra time off, will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field at 3:15 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Thomas A. Edison lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Science Leadership Academy, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's contest. The Owls never let the Rockets get on the board and left with a 6-0 win last Thursday. The Owls' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

The team relied heavily on Janzel Berrios, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Rafelys Santos also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Thomas A. Edison has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 15.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Mariana Bracetti Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Thomas A. Edison might still be hurting after the 8-1 loss they got from Mariana Bracetti Academy when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Can the Owls avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
