The Greeneville Greene Devils scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Grainger 84-47 at home. The win was nothing new for Greeneville as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Greeneville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Anna Shaw, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten assists. Shaw is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyla Jobe, who scored 20 points along with three steals.
Grainger's loss came despite strong showings from Ava Dellinger and Maribeth Stratton. Dellinger scored 11 points, while Stratton scored ten points.
Greeneville's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-10. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Grainger, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.
Greeneville will head out on the road to challenge the Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Grainger, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Green Hornets at 4:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Hopefully Carter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Friday.
