Mogollon gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 52-6 victory over the Ray Bearcats. The Mustangs' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Quinn Tenney was the offensive standout of the contest as he threw for 100 yards and two touchdowns on only nine passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Brody Porter helped Tenney out on the ground, rushing for 69 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, while also picking up 36 receiving yards.
Porter wasn't the only one working in the rushing yards department: Mogollon was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 204 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ray only rushed for 17.
Mogollon wouldn't let Ray keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Mogollon can thank Yovanni Suarez and Brett Parry for forcing both of them.
