The Beamer Titans will be home for the holidays to greet the Kelso Hilanders at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses dating back to last season for Beamer and four for Kelso dating back to last season.
Last Tuesday, Beamer had to suffer through a rough 54-22 loss at the hands of Kentlake. Beamer was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.
Despite the defeat, Beamer saw an underclassman step up: Kiana Smiley scored eight points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Smiley has scored all season.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 67-20, which was the final score in Kelso's tilt against WF West on Monday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Kelso in their matchups with WF West: they've now lost six in a row.
Beamer's loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-6. As for Kelso, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
