The Cigarroa Toros will venture away from home to challenge the Cotulla Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cigarroa is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.
On Tuesday, Cigarroa didn't have quite enough to beat Roma and fell 5-4.

Jaretzi Rodriguez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Rachael Mayo was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, Cotulla entered their tilt with Charlotte on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Trojans 13-3. That's two games straight that the Cowboys have won by exactly ten runs.
Christlyn Munoz was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over six innings pitched. Munoz was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sareen Ramirez, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with five stolen bases, four runs, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Eloyandra Zertuche, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Cotulla hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive contests.
Cigarroa has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Cotulla, their record is now 5-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Cigarroa has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Cotulla struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
