Frederick Baptist Academy was dealt a 58-27 defeat at the hands of Varsity Opponent on Tuesday. Frederick Baptist Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-11.
Despite the loss, Frederick Baptist Academy still got an impressive performance from Ben Hardt, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of John Strine, who scored no points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Frederick Baptist Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Varsity Opponent, their victory bumped their record up to 139-503-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Frederick Baptist Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Granite Baptist School at 4:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024. As for Varsity Opponent, they will head out on the road to face off against Atlantic Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
