They took a  blow against the Southington Blue Knights, falling  66-30. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the  53-36 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in January of 2022.
 Southington's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Hannah Blanchard, who  posted ten  points in addition to eight  rebounds and seven  steals. Blanchard is  on a roll when it comes to  steals, as she's  now  grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lily Cooper, who  earned four points along with ten  steals and eight  assists.
Lewis Mills' defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Southington, the  win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-1.
 Lewis Mills will challenge Tolland at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Lewis Mills is facing Tolland at the right time seeing as Tolland is stuck on  a  three-game losing streak. As for Southington, they will welcome Rocky Hill  at 6:45  p.m.  on Monday.
