Nine must be Riverside's lucky number: they beat Potomac Falls with that score not once but twice on Friday. The Ram didn't even let the Panthers on the board, marking the Ram's second-straight 9-0 shutout. The Ram might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by nine runs or more this season.

Kaylee Kadans tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ashley Bui, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Abby Walsh was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.

Riverside was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .375 or higher in four consecutive contests.

Riverside's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Potomac Falls, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Riverside will face off against Yorktown at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Potomac Falls, they will take on Rock Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
