Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Greenwich Country Day faced off against Rye Country Day on Thursday. The Tigers came up short against the Wildcats, falling 17-6.
Greenwich Country Day saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Schwartz, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one run.
St. Luke's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Greenwich Country Day, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Greenwich Country Day's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: St. Luke's hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .545. It's a different story for Greenwich Country Day, though, as they've only averaged .146. Will they be able to contain St. Luke's hitters?
