The Peabody Warhorses have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 21 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 59-37 margin over Lafayette. The victory was nothing new for Peabody as they're now sitting on four straight.
Justin Burns was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 20 rebounds. The matchup was his 11th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jordan Mathews, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Peabody has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season. As for Lafayette, their loss dropped their record down to 11-2.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Northside the next time they take the court. Peabody will host Northside at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Lafayette will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
