Baker is 2-8 against Walton since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Baker Gators will head out on the road to challenge the Walton Braves at 6:30 p.m. Walton took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Baker, who comes in off a win.
Last Tuesday, Baker escaped with a win against Laurel Hill by the margin of a single free throw, 51-50. The win was just what Baker needed coming off of a 53-28 loss in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Walton ended up a good deal behind Ponce De Leon on Tuesday and lost 50-34. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Walton in their matchups with Ponce De Leon: they've now lost three in a row.
Sophia Parker put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 11 points.
Baker's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Walton, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.
Baker might still be hurting after the 50-30 defeat they got from Walton in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can Baker avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
