Kearney has gone 7-1 against Norfolk recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Saturday. The Bearcats will host the Panthers  at 1:00  p.m. Kearney is coming into the  contest hot, having won their last three games.
Kearney's pitching crew heads into the  match  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Friday. They were the clear victors by  a  9-0 margin over Hastings. The Bearcats not only won  on Friday, but they posted their biggest win  since April 12th (when they won  22-8).

 Bryce Andersen was a  major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. That's the most  strikeouts  he has posted since back in April. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with three  RBI and two  doubles.
 In other batting news,  Griffin Novacek and  Tysen Cabela did most of the damage at the plate:  Novacek  went 1-for-4 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double, while  Cabela  went 1-for-3 with two  runs and one  RBI. That's the most  runs  Cabela has posted  over his last 11  games.  Charlie Loofe was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 Kearney was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hastings only posted a  batting average of  .160.
Meanwhile, Norfolk suffered their closest  defeat since April 11th on Thursday. They fell just short of Pius X by a score of  3-1. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Norfolk saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Alex Makshantsev, who  went 1-for-2 with one  triple.
 Norfolk's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Kearney, their victory bumped their record up to 18-9.
 Everything went Kearney's way against Norfolk when the teams last played  back in April of 2024, as Kearney made off with  a  7-0 win. Do  the Bearcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
