Basketball Recap: Naaman Forest Piles Up the Points Against Lebanon Trail

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Naaman Forest on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Lebanon Trail Trail Blazers out of the water with a 61-33 final score. The Rangers pushed the score to 46-25 by the end of the third, a deficit the Trail Blazers had little chance of recovering from.

Jayde Martinez continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double with 18 points and nine assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoey Deal, who posted eight points along with 16 boards and four steals.

Naaman Forest smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 16 offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

Naaman Forest pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points over those games. As for Lebanon Trail, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coincidentally, Naaman Forest and Lebanon Trail will both be playing Creekview the next time they take the court. The Trail Blazers will host the Mustangs at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Rangers will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
