It was a good run, but the Dawson School Mustangs unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 45-38 to Denver Christian. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Dawson School in their matchups with Denver Christian: they've now lost six in a row.
Dawson School's loss came despite strong showings from Jackson Parker and Peter Ernst. Parker scored 20 points, while Ernst almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds. Parker is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Tu, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Dawson School's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Denver Christian, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dawson School will take on Heritage Christian at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Heritage Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 11 contests -- so hopefully Dawson School likes a good challenge. As for Denver Christian, they will be playing at home against Dayspring Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dayspring Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 297th, while Denver Christian is ranked 85th).
