Caledonia-Mumford/Byron-Bergen had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They took a 14-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wayland-Cohocton. Caledonia-Mumford/Byron-Bergen was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Wayland-Cohocton apparently hadn't forgotten their loss from the last time the teams met up. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Caledonia-Mumford/Byron-Bergen off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Wayland-Cohocton a 1-0 record.
Caledonia-Mumford/Byron-Bergen will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Warsaw/Letchworth at 7:30 PM. As for Wayland-Cohocton, they will face off against Avon.
