The White Pine Bobcats can finally bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Thursday. They snuck past GV Christian with a 26-22 victory. The victory was just what White Pine needed coming off of a 48-6 loss in their prior contest.
Ryder Loveless threw for 187 yards and three touchdowns. Brennon Allen was his top target, picking up 62 receiving yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Tucker Maestes rushed for 88 yards.
Several Guardians players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cade Johnson, who threw for 237 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
White Pine's victory bumped their record up to 1-6. As for GV Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
White Pine is on the road again on November 3rd and play against Lake Mead Academy at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Lake Mead Academy is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games. GV Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
