Genesee hasn't had much luck against Troy recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will take on the Trojans at 5:00 p.m. Genesee has given up an average of 6.7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Genesee came into their game two weeks ago off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-1 to Colfax. The game marked Genesee's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Genesee saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Bollman, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases. Bollman is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.
Troy never got on the board in their matchup on Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Vision last Saturday. They blew past Vision 13-1. With that victory, the Trojans brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.
Payton Christensen made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single hit and allowing only one earned run while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Christensen was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Troy got a massive performance out of Wade Moser, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs Moser has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Makhi Durrett, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Troy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .656. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Vision only posted an OBP of .267.
The win got Troy back to even at 2-2. As for Genesee, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1-2.
Troy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Genesee hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .314. It's a different story for Troy, though, as they've only averaged .232. Will they be able to contain Genesee's hitters?
Genesee couldn't quite get it done against Troy in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 as they fell 9-5. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
