Meanwhile, Carroll didn't have quite enough to beat Eastern on Thursday and fell 4-3.
Charlotte Kingery spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on ten hits.
At the plate, Carroll saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Serenity DeBoard, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.
Carroll's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 11-3. As for Tri-County, the loss was their first at home, dropping their record down to 11-3.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Tri-County hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .396. However, it's not like Carroll struggles in that department as they've averaged .330. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
