On Tuesday, the Lehi Pioneers faced the Lone Peak Knights in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Lehi took a serious blow against Lone Peak, falling 64-29. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lehi has scored all season.
Several Pioneers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kinly Faux, who scored eight points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Hadlie Warren, who scored nine points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lone Peak to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shawnee Nordstrom, who scored 15 points along with four steals. Nordstrom hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Naia Tanuvasa was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with two steals.
Lehi's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Lone Peak, their win was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-6.
Lehi will look to defend their home court on Friday against Pleasant Grove at 6:00 p.m. Pleasant Grove is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. As for Lone Peak, they will head out on the road to take on Westlake at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Westlake is ranked ninth, while Lone Peak is ranked third).
