Norcross is 10-0 against Duluth since November of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Norcross Blue Devils will head out on the road to square off against the Duluth Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. Norcross is looking to tack on another W to their 12-game streak on the road.
Norcross can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent contest on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 69-21 victory over Pebblebrook on the road. Given Norcross' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Pebblebrook is ranked 407th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Duluth's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against North Gwinnett, falling 60-32. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Duluth in their matchups with North Gwinnett: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the defeat, Duluth saw an underclassman step up: Kaylie Zirger scored 20 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Zirger has scored all season.
Norcross is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Duluth, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.
Everything came up roses for Norcross against Duluth in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 73-29 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Norcross since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
